Awake, awake! Put on strength,
_O arm of the Lord;
_awake as in the ancient days.
Art thou not he that hath cut Rahab,
_and wounded the dragon?
Art thou not he who hath dried the sea,
_the waters of the great deep;
_that hath made the depths of the sea
_a way for the ransomed to pass over?
Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord shall return,
_and come with singing unto Zion;
_and everlasting joy and holiness
_shall be upon their heads;
_and they shall obtain gladness and joy;
_sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
