And thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I have sent him,
_the Lord thy God
_who teacheth thee to profit,
_who leadeth thee
_by the way thou shouldst go,
_hath done it.“O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments—
_then had thy peace been as a river,
_and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea.“Thy seed also had been as the sand;
_the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof.“His name should not have been cut off
_nor destroyed from before me.”
