“I Will Feed Them That Oppress Thee with Their Own Flesh”

Denver C. Snuffer, Jr.

In the end, the mischief planned against the Lord’s people will return to condemn those who planned it. If they will not feed upon the Lord’s offering, taking His blood and flesh in the ordinance of the Sacrament, then they will be fed on their own. This is a fitting symbol to apply to the proud. They feel themselves self-sufficient. So, let them dine on their own proud flesh, and discover how it will leave them wanting in the Day of Judgment. Then, as they realize how inadequate they really are, they will join in the moment when “all flesh shall know that I, the Lord, am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
